Statement Regarding Municipal Code Compliance Notices

From the Five Points Association Executive Committee

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — August 18, 2025 — The Five Points Association is aware that a number of properties in our district have recently received municipal code compliance notices related to property maintenance. While we do not have confirmation on the origin of this enforcement effort, we understand that the City of Jacksonville and JSO periodically conduct sweeps to ensure properties are in compliance with local ordinances.

Our Association’s priority is to maintain a clean, welcoming, and vibrant Five Points for residents, visitors, and businesses alike. We encourage any affected property owners to review the notices carefully, address any listed violations within the required timeframe, and reach out to Municipal Code Compliance for clarification if needed.

We are committed to open communication and will work to connect merchants and property owners with the proper City departments to answer questions or resolve concerns. Our goal is to ensure enforcement is applied fairly and that improvements benefit the entire district.

On behalf of the Five Points Association Executive Committee,

Dori Thomsen, President
Casey Roth, Vice President
Seth Darmata, Treasurer
Dana Riley, Secretary
